First Friday Artwalk – A huge and super-fun monthly artwalk in downtown Phoenix. I’ve sold my mixed-media artwork there and done really well.
Design e² – A fantastic PBS series on “the economies of being environmentally conscious.” If you’re at all interested in eco-friendly architecture, design or infrastructure, you MUST see this series!
BANKSY – A street artist turned fine artist…kind of. Banksy doesn’t seem to have left the street art behind, or if he has, it’s only for long enough to sneak into a museum. Fantastic social commentary weaved with humor and cool graphics. *love his work*
William McDonough – McDonough is the founding principal of William McDonough + Partners, Architecture and Community Design, an internationally recognized design firm practicing ecologically, socially, and economically intelligent architecture and planning in the U.S. and abroad. SUPER-COOL!!!!
Headway Themes – I have been using this theme on my own sites for a while as well as on some client sites and it is UH-mazing. It’s robust, flexible and easy to use and I am grateful for the autonomy which it allows me to provide my clients. I feel very comfortable recommending it to those of you who want to have a beautiful website without having to learn HTML or PHP! As a designer, I love working with it because it makes for a faster process and gives me so many more options than most of the other WordPress themes I’ve used. [AL]
